Projects

Community Projects Plus is delivering a range of projects in a variety of areas and settings. All projects are delivered to support local priorities, our projects are;

  • Using sport as a tool to raise health awareness
  • Reducing anti-social and risky behaviour
  • Improving aspirations and individuals sense of self worth
  • Increasing alternative physical activity opportunities for children & young people (3-16yrs)
  • Improving family and community cohesion
  • Increasing educational attainment of underachieving students
  • Increasing employability of young people & young adults

 

Community Projects Plus are currently managing the following contracts:

Home Office Positive Futures Programme Leicester
– Targeting young people 8-19 years old with positive sport activities
– Delivering over 15hours of sport in 5 wards across Leicester city

Positive Activities for Young People (Spinney Hills Ward)
– Funded by Leicestershire Constabulary LPU Spinney Hills to deliver positive sport activities in crime hot spot areas to reduce anti-social behaviour

Leicester City Council School Skating Programme
– Delivering on the health inequalities agenda through roller skating intervention, increasing young people’s physical activity
– In 8 weeks the programme has engaged over 2500 young people to take part

Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Fund
–  Funded by Leicester City Council to deliver sports leadership training to people aged 19 years and over.

MatchFit– Funded by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust to increase the number of people aged 16-24 taking part in Chlamydia screening by accessing sports teams across Leicestershire
